Uranus Calculator Watch Module

The photo immediately below shows the module on a special jig.  Note the circuits, ICs, and other components.  Not seen (or not seen well) are the very thin wire bonds which populate the module.  Unfortunately the bonds (from circuit to circuit or circuit to IC) have not done well with time and have a tendency to disconnect - causing electronic failures.  This is one reason many Uranus calculator watches do not work.

Jon Eton notes, "Looking at the 4 round silver tubes seen on the board: the small silver colored tubes at the 3 o'clock position are where the timing crystal is attached, the one at the 1 o'clock position is for the positive contact spring, and the one at the 9 o'clock position is for the negative contact spring. These all simply push into place."
