This seems to be a new breed of LED watches - made in China, regardless of the USA notation in the brand name.  The seller notes "Gold tone Light Emitting Diode (LED) watch made by Eagle USA. The right upper button shows the time with a PM indicator and the right lower button shows the month and date. It takes a 3 volt lithium battery. This is NOT an LCD with a red backlight, it's a genuine LED watch and the quality is as good or better as the ones from the 70's and the other LED remakes like the Fossils of 4 years ago."
